Training Workshops

Now offering a free webinar for parents!

Here at CAPS we know just how severe the many impacts of COVID-19 have been on families everywhere.

This is why we are launching Supporting Kids, a FREE weekly webinar series to help parents to support their children’s mental health during this difficult time.

We particularly encourage people located in former LGAs of concern to attend, however the webinars are open to all families across NSW!

The next webinar will be held on Thursday 21 October at 5pm. Attendance is free and spaces are limited, so please register here to reserve your place.

What is a CAPS Training Workshop?

We provide bespoke child protection training opportunities for organisations of all sizes.

All staff will receive a personalised and engaging training experience, as well as a CAPS resource pack and follow up support as needed.

CAPS Training Workshops are delivered by our experienced child protection experts who are passionate about keeping kids everywhere safe, supported and loved.

We provide participants with clear and easy to understand guidance on how to keep the most vulnerable members of your community safe from harm, including how to implement the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

How are the workshops delivered?

CAPS training workshops can be delivered in person at your workplace or online (or via a combination of both).

Examples of our work

Cumberland City Council
Cumberland Council implemented a series of CAPS Child Protection training workshops as a professional development opportunity for their staff members. The training consisted of a day of in-person training, as well as two follow-up webinars.
Western Sydney MRC
The CAPS team worked with the Western Sydney Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) to design and deliver a personalised child protection online training for Western Sydney MRC staff. The webinar was held during National Child Protection Week.
