Safe Children, Safe Families Project

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.74″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”]Safe Children, Safe Families Project is the next development of providing education to children around emotional IQ, development of social competence and improving children’s abilities to communicate their emotions to others. The program is an evidence-based protective behaviour program that leverages off Dr Reina MIchaelson’s PHD research(2001).  The program is a first in Australia and has some outstanding results in working with children aged 3 to 5 years old, their parents and the childcare workers.  The results are detailed in summary on research questions with the children after three sessions.  It is the only Protective behaviours program specially developed to work with children with disabilities. Thriving Families Project

This project is the development of excellence in therapeutic interventions at the earliest stage of a families and child’s life.  The therapeutic interventions provides a trauma informed child centres, family focused interventions that address the parent’s personal history, trauma, and developmental role modelling to circumvent inter-generational trauma.

This unique program is the first in Australia to provide intervention services directly to the parents at the prenatal and post-natal stages in a continuum of care process, to directly address the parents relational trauma and developmental trauma.

Nurturing Parent Program

Families have access to one to one support, counselling or emotional support and referrals. This is an evidenced-based program that assists families in identifying their strengths and areas of need across 10 life functional domains.  Our professional staff support the individual or family to set their personal goals and steps to work toward success. Supported Playgroup

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.74″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”]The CAPS @ Campsie supported playgroup is a weekly activity for parents and their children (aged 0 -5 years old). The playgroup combines traditional play, music and signing, crafts, and dancing, with parent education sessions. Run during school term time only this playgroup is held on Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12.30pm at Rotary Community Centre, 34 North Parade Campsie. This group costs $10 per week.
